The Mad Men TV saga closed last night in perfect style as the creative mind of Don Draper morphed its way out of depression and into a classic promotion for Coke. If you haven’t watch the show, then I’m not making any sense to you. This is TV. The bar is low. Mad Men at times went further than mindless entertainment. It was a well done tale of a man on a life journey.
I am posting a photo of myself in a Don Draper moment. I can’t think of any other show that would compel me to do this.
No! Say it isn’t so…. You’re an old lady watching her soaps because real life isn’t contrived and maybe that’s too heavy for you?.
I weep for you…

I enjoyed it … but really not like life

To me Draper was trying recreate life in his mind without regard for other people’s emotions. We saw on TV what the writers thought were Draper’s visions, not reality. Finally, he realized no one else cared about him, an epiphany for a selfish ego. But, hey, when a TV show triggers thought, that’s refreshing. Thanks for the comment.
