This small beach is rimmed by a rocky cliff.
I come here to see sunsets and crashing waves.
My “happy place” is ten-minute walk from our house–it’s a small, rocky beach at the bottom of a steep cliff that keeps visitors away. I call it Sammy’s Beach in honor of our dog who used to love negotiating the climb down–he’s too old now to join me these days. Here’s where I think, take in the sea air, stumble upon abalone shells and give thanks that I can still get here without falling.
