Thursday Poetry: Coraline

coraline2 - Copy

Your first cry

Made me so much older,

Another generation

In the fold.

New chances for me to bend my body

In kindness

And play.

To lift

A miracle

And wonder when she’ll

Call me grandad

And how she’ll smooth

My rough edges.

That you’re here

Is all that matters,

Coraline.

  2. Rich,

A beautiful poem! You need to frame it for her so she always knows how you feel. It made tears come to my eyes.
