Garbage Morning Alarms!

A scrub jay monitors a quail from its perch on a garbage can.
A quail, mid-air, runs away from a scrub jay.

It’s 6:15 a.m. and quails are sounding their alarms. It’s garbage pick-up morning and the scrub jays are here. The jays monitor the quails, assuming that these ground experts know the location of food other than what’s in the green cans.
