Here I am at sunset taking a selfie of sorts at the base of a seaside cliff at low tide. I’m not the kind of person who slows down easily; i.e., as the blog site says, “wandering mind.” But today is a time to assess what yesterday’s election said about our country. My gut check says “feeling better.” Sure, we remain divided politically, but that wasn’t going to be changed by election votes. The electorate demonstrated that it has a strong pulse…people care about their beliefs. Debates were loud and clear. And for the first time in our history, more than 100 women will be seated in Congress. Leadership is getting a new look. Misogynists beware. Looking forward to spirited times ahead.
For far too many people, the environment does not come first.

Agreed. Ocean waters are heating up. Some 230 sea lions died off the Monterey Coast recently from a water-borne virus. The water is too warm.
