Along with the tradition of the Macy’s Day Thanksgiving Parade, there is the lesser known ritual of wild turkeys storming city hall, somewhere, to protest I don’t know what.
I am trying to be light-hearted today despite the burdens of others, turkeys included. The California fire victims, people in our country killed just this week by gun violence, the homeless and those without a friend are a few of the tragedies in play. I’ll leave politics aside–it only makes me angry.
If nothing else hug someone today, pet a dog or a cat, or simply say hello to someone you don’t know. Then, do it tomorrow as well. Thanks.
