I’ve become “friends” with this Townsend Warbler.
This bird is small and seemingly unafraid of people, at least in my experience.
Checking for bugs.

The Townsend Warbler in our front yard has a personality, at least that was true for the one I saw yesterday. Unlike other birds it didn’t fly away when I approached. Occasionally it would look at me with mild interest, but mostly it was intent on hopping around the Carmel Creeper Wild Lilac that covers half of our yard.  I assume it was looking for insects on the underside of the leaves. However, it didn’t fear that I was towering over it (with my camera). I was part of the landscape. Eventually, I left the bird alone.

This song bird has extraordinary coloring as shown in the photos. It is found in the Pacific Northwest and in our front yard. Peace.
