Yellow-rumped Warbler

The yellow-rumped warbler.

This bird tried to climb onto a large piece of driftwood.

The Goodyear Blimp flew overhead while I was taking photos of birds.

If you watched the Pebble Beach Pro-Am on television yesterday, please know I was close to the golfers ;i.e., somewhere below the Goodyear Blimp on the beach taking photos of a yellow-rumped warbler. Seriously.

Life takes many turns. I was a caddy during my teen years and that helped establish my love of golf. From there I played on the golf team in college. But decades later my attention is no longer on today’s top pro players, instead, I’m down in the sand photographing small birds for my own gratification. And that’s truly a birdie in my books.

My labels: grandfather, father, veteran, writer, poet, photographer and dreamer in pursuit of the meaning of life. Getting close, although I'm running out of time--probably why I'm so close.
