Big Sur Artistry

This week the ocean cliffs along Big Sur were alive with color. Unfortunately, the succulents that provide much of this natural bouquet have become targets for poachers, according to warning signs posted by state park officials.

An oil painting of the coast wouldn’t look real to observers unfamiliar with Big Sur’s artistry. But the hues are true along with changes of texture and the randomness of design.

  1. Beautiful – the colors are wonderful. I see the photographer in the picture.
