A few years ago I started posting photos and stories about my favorite hiking paths. These paths are both faded memories and current places of refuge during the pandemic. In the past I would be exhilarated after finishing was a walk through a redwood grove or fording a mountain stream. But, now when the hike is over, I return to the world of social distancing and hand washing while telling myself we will get through this…we will.
