A gulf fritillary lands on lantana this week in our backyard.A cabbage white visits the lantana with the gulf fritillary a few feet away.
This year the purple lantana in our backyard is thriving, attracting butterflies in large numbers during October. We also have white and yellow lantana, but those colors draw fewer butterflies than their purple counterpart. Honey bees, however, prefer the ivy which hangs over the lantana. Peace.
