Focus on a Squirrel

Tightly cropped shot of the squirrel.
The original photo uncropped.

Yesterday I was walking Teddy, the chief hunter among our three rescue dogs, when we encountered a squirrel that blended in with the growth in a front yard garden. I took a photo although I couldn’t see that well given that we were pretty far away and the subject was in the shade. I was surprised, no, shocked, that the shot was in focus. It helped that the squirrel didn’t move and that Teddy didn’t see it until we got closer. No harm done. The above images are from the same shot. Focus rocks.
