The Random Beauty of a Forest Floor

There is a random beauty in a forest floor covered with pine needles, fallen branches, some with lichen, spent pods, an occasional flower and filtered light. We walk on or by it, but often don’t notice how everything is arranged. This floor is in the woods overlooking the town of Truckee, California.
