In 1972, after serving two years in the Army, I wanted get as far away from military missions as possible, so I decided to try life as a freelance children’s photographer. I had my own darkroom—no digital photos in those days. I had a few clients, but not enough to pay the bills. Fast forward 54 years to yesterday when I a took a shot of my daughter holding her one-month old baby, a joyous moment, indeed. Mission accomplished!
