Wild Turkeys in the Sacramento Oven
It was 104 yesterday afternoon when I saw wild turkeys on a neighbor’s lawn. The high today is forecasted to be 112. In a metropolitan area of one million, how can these turkeys survive? In this extreme heat dogs, cats and people are inside, leaving the lawns to the gobblers.

I’m Back!
After a three-month absence, a wild rabbit is back in our front yard looking for food. Took this shot a few minutes ago.

Too Busy To Stop Eating
I got so close to this squirrel I could have picked it up, given how it intent it was on eating an acorn (I think). Of course, that would be stupid and dangerous. I prefer to click and leave.

The Little One
Rabbits and quail have one habit in common: they both love to scamper across a road to the other side. This little one used to hang out in our front yard, sometimes it would meet up with some quail–everyone got along. Rabbits and quail continue to visit,. Peace.
