Around 3:30 pm yesterday the sun was bright and low, a laser over the ocean where it struck a glass prism that hangs from the eaves of my house. The refracted light separated into rainbow colors on a 65-year-old weathered redwood door. This photo is my 2014 Thanksgiving message of hope and tolerance in a world “weathered” by hate.
