Poem: The Fool’s Way

A leaf flutters from a tall tree,

Free for ten blinks of an eye.

He doesn’t see it rest gently

At his feet,

Having lost interest

To the consumption of time

He’ll never get back

In a forest he never

Wanted to be in.

Such is the fool’s way.
